The Wrong Crowd makes inventive, playful and compelling theatre. We reinvigorate the wild, old stories for contemporary audiences and make physical shows with psychological depth. Fusing puppetry, text and music, we aim to delight, provoke and inspire our audiences and remind them of the wonder of live performance.

"I only eat the ones who deserve to be eaten"
In our new show we’re re-imagining one the key stories of the extraordinary hag-witch character, Baba Yaga, who runs through much of Slavic folklore.
We’ll be collaborating with composer Frank Moon to create the sound and song world, in which Baba Yaga’s dark story can come to life, with our particular fusion of live action, puppetry, music and physical theatre.
We’re excited to be working with Bristol Old Vic to develop the show and will be previewing at Latitude Festival and then playing at Underbelly at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2013, followed by a UK tour, including Soho Theatre and Bristol Old Vic.
